Sam Goodman is currently holding a press conference, speaking about a victory which has set up a world title fight.

“I thought it was crazy, I thought I won eight rounds to four,” Goodman said when asked about the contentious split decision.

Bring on Charlo

Somewhere in the United States, Jermell Charlo would have witnessed this.

Tszyu was meant to fight the Charlo in January. The cocky American probably wishes he was fight to take him on then.

Since then, Tszyu destroyed Tony Harrison, the only person to have defeated Charlo. And then this afternoon, a credentialled Mexican warrior wasn’t able to last two minutes.

Tszyu is going to a new level every time he steps into the ring. He may well start the fight against Charlo, pencilled in for October, as the favourite.

What a day for Australian boxing

First, it was Sam Goodman earning a world title fight. While that bout went the entire 12 rounds - Goodman won via split decision - the judges weren’t required for what happened next.

Tszyu has shown improvement every time he has stepped into the ring, but this was something else.

Ocampo didn’t know what hit him ... within seconds, it was obvious this was only going to go one way.
